Launch of the New Prime Capital Financial App

We are thrilled to officially unveil our new Prime Capital Financial App, and introduced by our guest speaker, Alex Greenberg. This app is designed to be your “advisor in your pocket” and streamline your entire experience with the Prime Capital Charleston office.

How to Get the App:

  1. Search for “Prime Capital” in your device’s app store.
  2. When logging in, select “log in with text (SMS)” over email for a completely password-less, seamless entry using a six-digit security code (two-factor authentication).

Key Features and Value:

All-in-One Connectivity: Access your eMoney Financial Planning Portal and see a direct feed of your managed account (overall value and asset allocation) in one secure place.

Message Your Advisor: A secure messaging portal to communicate directly with your team (Jason, Sean, and the Charleston team), replacing the need for non-secure texting or emailing.

Action Items: A two-way, collaborative to-do list to keep your financial plan on track. You complete a task (e.g., sending a W-2), check it off, and the team is instantly notified.

Newsfeed: A private, social media-style feed for the Charleston office, providing market tidbits, articles, and updates relevant to your financial life.

Upcoming Events & Resources: Easy access to town halls, events, and featured market insights.

Refer a Friend: Quickly refer friends and family to the team via a scannable QR code.

Security & Data: The app is highly secure, undergoing a SOC 2 Type 2 certification process, an industry-standard audit for financial services software.

Household Data: The investment data (via the Orion feed) is typically shown for the household.

High-Yield Savings Accounts (HYSA) Review

Do you have adequate emergency funds? We discussed options for optimizing your emergency savings and other set-aside funds that are currently earning little to no yield at local banks.

Account Option Yield (as of Town Hall) Key Feature Our Relationship
Ally Bank HYSA 3.4% Ability to create multiple “Buckets” (e.g., Christmas, Travel, Escrow) for different savings goals within one account. No direct relationship, but vetted for personal use and clients.

Goldman Sachs Select Savings 4.0% Higher yield opportunity. We have a firm relationship and can pre-fill the application for clients.

Important Note: Both are savings accounts and are subject to Regulation T, which limits withdrawals to no more than 6 in a given month. This is not a checking account replacement.

Business High-Yield Savings Account: For business accounts, the most accessible option we’ve implemented is a money market mutual fund through a corporate business account at Schwab or Fidelity, which typically offers comparable yields with one-day liquidity and no Regulation T withdrawal limits. Q4 2025 Market Outlook and Year-End Planning

The market has been volatile, yet the S&P 500 has been hitting record highs, driven by strong earnings and excitement over Artificial Intelligence (AI), even as the job market shows signs of weakening.

Key Q3 Market Results: S&P (7.8%), NASDAQ (11.2%), and Dow (5.2%) all saw strong returns, and gold hit a record high.

Valuation Concerns: The Schiller Price-to-Earnings (P.E.) Ratio for the S&P 500 is currently at 39.5 times earnings, which is well above the 35-year average of 27 and nearing the levels seen during the dot-com bubble. This highlights the importance of maintaining a balanced strategy (PPP: Public, Private, Protected).

Fed Rate Cuts: The Federal Reserve has cut rates, reflecting an attempt to balance inflation (still above 2% target) with a slowing job market.

Market Volatility: The VIX (“fear index”) is relatively calm at around 16.3, but current events (like a government shutdown) could quickly increase short-term volatility.
